He came back down a few minutes later, wearing pajamas. He went to the oven, and pulled out warm cinnamon rolls.
He seemed hesitant to answer. "It, uh.. It hurts pretty bad." *** "Well.. I'm gonna pull it all off at once, okay?"
She was quiet, before nodding slowly. "Yeah."
He stepped back, before heading up to change.
He coughed, his hand going to his side as he winced. "It's.. It's fine." *** "But you're the one I love!"
She rested her head on her hand. "Just gonna miss old times."
He sighed. "It's okay, Val." *** "But.. But then who will I love?"
He kissed her cheek. "That would be great."
She hesitated, nodding slightly. "Yeah.. Old times."
