She cocked her head. "Miriam made stew."
"I.. I know. Did I do anything stupid?" *** She squeezed his hand, her eyes bright.

She looked up at him. "I didn't mean to wake you.."
He froze, suddenly frustrated with himself. "I'm sorry. Force of habit." *** She unlocked the door and headed inside.
He followed easily, his eyes warm.
"It's great." She idly took Jack's free hand, careful of the injuries.
He frowned, pulling out a proper blanket for her before kissing her cheek and heading for the door again. *** "Lets do that, then."
He smiled gently. "I love you too."
"It's wonderful," she said softly. "Thank you."
He sighed, standing up shakily. Assuming she wouldn't be there, he made the bed and headed for the door. *** "Like bedazzle a collar?"
"It's okay, my love. Seriously."
She nodded slowly, taking the stew. "Okay, if you say so.."
He frowned, picking up the pills and taking one before having a sip of water. "I need to stop waking up here.." *** "That's true."
