He went to his contacts, finding Phos and pressing 'call'.
She noted the way he wasn't looking at her, and her tone became somewhat playful, hoping to lighten the mood. "Is there something on my face?"
He frowned, nodding. "Okay. I'm sorry." *** "No you don't."
He smiled, pulling out his phone. "Oh yeah?"
"I know," she said softly, "and I'm grateful for that. I love you too."
"Why?" *** "You, Nugget, beach."
"Of course I have their numbers. We're acquaintances and/or friends."
"It takes awhile," she said slowly. "I don't blame you."
"Just being honest." *** "He's second, actually. Not to the beach. To you."
He raised an eyebrow. "Yes. I'll call them."
"It's okay to forget," she said, her voice soft. "Forgetting isn't a problem.."
"Really now? I thought that's what you always were." *** "The best around!"
"Nah. I'm a mastermind. I forget nothing."
