"That's fake."
"I don't want to sleep.."
She laughed. "No, Arlo. We aren't breaking up."
"Then why shouldn't I trust you?"
He smiled, before taking the soup and drinking it.
"I love you," she reassured, "but I nearly love Nugget more."
She pulled away, but remained close to his face. "Do you trust me?"
He gave her another kiss. "I won't."
"You're being mean."
She moved to give him a kiss. "That's too bad."
He chuckled, his thumbing brushing her cheek. "I know."
"I have not. I'm starting to love him more."
"That's a shame," she replied warmly. "I still trust you."
He nodded, reaching his hand to brush her neck. "Indeed."
She crossed her arms. "You asked for it."
"Am I not supposed to trust you?" she asked, her tone playful.
"That sounds fake."
She leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Fine. A little bit more."
