She gave him a soft smile. "I know.. I love you the same. Should we go look around?"
"No, I'm not breaking up with you then."
Callie grinned. "Lovely."
"No I wouldn't. You're everything to me."
"Right. Eventually, unfortunately."
She gently pet him, her touch careful.
She chuckled slightly. "Yeah.. If I didn't have you it would be pretty sucky."
"Eventually, but not soon."
Callie reached her hand out to gently pat the dogs head, ready to pull her hand back if need be.
"Well.. It'd definitely be different."
"Well, not for the rest of my life. The higher ups just think it would be better to do that for now."
She nodded. "Exactly. Let's do this."
She rubbed his back, turning her head slightly to kiss his temple. "We're okay."
"I'm working from home."
"It's worth a shot, I suppose."
She cocked her head slightly, before embracing him again, her nose brushing his jaw. "No worries. No worries."
"..Nowhere?"
She gave him a quick kiss, wincing slightly from the cut but hoped he wouldn't notice. "I'm sure. Are you?"
"Probably."
She nodded. "That sounds nice."
