She shook her head. "Well, I think it is. You're the best thing I've known in my existence."
Callie crossed her arms. "She also lied to us about not having the specific dog. That's no good, right?"
He gasped. "He's my favorite fish! You're my favorite person."
She kissed the top of his head. "Loving you is a privilege itself."
"I'm pretty sure she's kicking us out, too."
He ran his hands through her hair. "You're mine, too."
She smiled, her fingers gently brushing his jaw. "Is it?"
Callie glowered at the woman. "Apparently this dog is no longer for sale."
He laughed. "Don't worry. I'll be here for you."
"I love you too," she said quietly. "More than anything. I love you."
Callie wrung her hands nervously. "$600..?"
He leaned over and reached to kiss her cheek. "Alright. Thank you."
She seemed surprised, and spoke softly in reply. "A lot?'
Callie stood nervously. "Don't.. don't do this. Name your price."
She looked up at her and chuckled. "Welcome back."
She continued to run her fingers through his hair, humming softly under her breath.
Callie panicked slightly. "$500?"
He laid back, resting his arms under his head nonchalantly.
She chuckled warmly. "You sure?"
