"See you," she said quietly, leaning back.
"Fine. Be that way."
"Exactly."
She nodded. "Okay. Stay safe."
He chuckled. "I haven't started the bet yet.. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't be able to last very long."
"Nugget won't get stolen. Nobody will even try."
She sat back uncomfortably, running a hand through her hair.
"You're being inappropriate," he teased.
"That's not fair."
"Okay," she murmured. "Be fast. I love you."
"I'm not sure it is.. Is it?"
"By someone who had a key."
She sighed, crossing her arms. "Fine.. But I'll miss you."
He hesitated. "You know one thing.."
She shrugged. "Good neighborhood."
She nodded. "Okay.. Okay. Don't worry."
"You know nothing!"
She moved quickly, approaching her apartment and kneeling down to get a key from the mat before unlocking the door and heading inside.
She opened her mouth to speak, but sneezed, covering her face with hand. "That's not fair."
"You underestimate me."
