He took the other end, helping her lift it to the other room.
"The most glorious," she agreed. "He'll be lovely."
She took his face in her hands to give him a kiss, before turning and starting to change into his shirt. "Thank you."
He waited for a moment before nodding. "Right. Let's do that."
She nodded. " Exactly. A famous dog named nugget who is ours."
She wrapped her arms around him again. "It's okay. I love you."
He set down the bowl gently. "I know. He'll be okay."
She nodded brightly. "Exactly like an ewok!"
"Please can I have shirt? I'm tired."
Francis beamed, coming over quickly to take the bowl. "Lovely!"
"Yes. A small fur child!"
She looked up at him with a tired grin. "That's just part of it."
He looked up excitedly. "You did?"
"Right! Like a small fur child."
She nodded. "One of your shirts?"
He nodded slowly. "I found the mattress and sheets."
She laughed. "We'll see how he is."
She observed the room carefully before turning to him, opening her arms expectantly.
He paused to kiss her cheek before heading to the next box.
