She sighed. "Okay, babe. I'm sorry."
She went to him, her touch careful. "I don't want you to get wet."
He looked a bit surprised. "You're ignoring me."
"We both know it's true."
She nodded. "Yeah.."
He shook his head. "No I'm not!"
She grinned at him. "Is that an insult?"
She chuckled, but hesitated. "Won't you get wet, too?"
She grinned, wrapping the cloak around her. "It was fun, though."
She laughed. "I'm sorry."
"I know. Your salary is pretty bad."
She smiled slightly, before getting back in. "I feel fine."
She squinted at him. "What?"
She resurfaced, her eyes bright and playful as she gripped the edge of the boat. "Don't test me, Curnow! I'll go much farther!"
He laughed brightly. "Never!"
"I really want to stay with you!"
She watched him with raised eyebrows before standing shakily on the boat and diving in.
