He frowned, quietly stepping forward and opening the door."
He nodded, taking her hand. "Should I write it down?" *** She pursed her lips. "Just water."
She crossed her arms. "I won't die."
Francis nodded slowly, climbing the stairs cautiously.
He looked back, tilting his head curiously. "I like that one." *** She nodded, sitting on the counter. "Yes, please."
"No," she said her voice stern but understanding. "I won't."
He turned to look as well, his eyes wide with awe. *** She turned around, crossing her arms.
He jumped slightly, but turned to go upstairs, looking around for Tom.
She shook her head. "No."
He hesitated. "No.." *** "Hmph."
He cleared his throat, before speaking loudly, in an obviously joking fashion, as he assumed it was an animal. "Poppy, we have a ghost!"
"Trying to get me to go back.."
"Hmph. Fine. You're right, I guess." *** "I know."
He coughed, waving away the dust. He set down the sheet, deciding the rest could be uncovered later as he continued.
