She took down a few with ease, using smooth dodges before finding a more challenging opponent.
He blinked. "I thought you were on my side."
"Simply outlandish!" *** "Not my juice.."
Avice drew her sword immediately, holding it ready in front of her.
"So you calmed his old man subconscious?"
"I would believe it." *** She squinted, scooting away. "Arlo, no."
Her gaze was like poison, and she turned sharply before moving.
He laughed brightly. "Evan?"
"Amazing!" *** She looked up from her juice. "If you throw that at me.."
She crossed her arms, her expression showing obvious anger but she said nothing at the time.
"Wow, really? I would have thought you convinced tons of people they weren't secretly old."
He nodded, burying his face in her shoulder. "I love you." *** She continued to eat her bagel, sitting up on the counter as she did so.
Avice paused for a moment, distracted before she yanked her arms free with an annoyed look.
He kissed her temple. "Thank you for telling me I'm not mentally an old man."
He gasped. "I made my bed before you!" *** She squinted at him, taking a bite of her bagel.
