"Shush. I do not."
He blinked, looking up at her. "What did I do?" *** "So? I'm happy with where I am now."
Francis paused, crossing his arms. "Poppy is pretty committed. I don't think we could leave him."
She playfully smacked his arm. "I can stand to be wrong sometimes."
He nodded, looking around before finding the pad of paper and pencil, returning to write the number down. *** "Or we both win."
Francis pursed his lips. "Our fish."
She smiled softly. "I appreciate it."
He nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yes." *** She sighed, her fingers lighting gripping the fabric of his shirt.
Francis nodded slowly. "Where will we be staying?"
"But I'm going to believe that unless proven otherwise."
He nodded slightly. "Sure." *** She was quiet for a moment, before wrapping her arms around him in an embrace. "I like all of you too."
He frowned, but nodded. "What about our things?"
She smiled softly, pausing to reach up and brush his jaw with her hand. "You won't die."
He cocked his head before nodding. "That's a good one." *** She pulled away slightly, but stayed close. "Do you dislike it?"
"That would be helpful," he said. "Thank you."
She pursed her lips. "Relentless."
He laughed. "If you say so." *** She squinted, leaning down to kiss him, hopefully to silence.
He nodded. "Right, but hopefully things go well.."
