"So you wouldn't care if you did what they did and then they took your furniture?"
He brushed her hair gently. "Sorry."
"Shhhh," she whispered dramatically, placing her index finger over his lips as she continued to whisper. "Today will be a good day."
"It's a hypothetical question, Val."
"I'm sure," he replied. "No death."
She nodded, a bright grin on her face. "Yeah it is!"
"But if you did."
He frowned. "No."
She sat up, kissing his cheek. "Tell yourself today will be a good day and it will be so."
"That's beside the point. Would you like if your stuff was stolen?"
"You won't," he reassured. "I'll just burn, like, a few clothes."
