He blinked. "Oh, sorry. I think it's nice.' *** She frowned. "Ew."
He kissed the top of her head. "Definitely."
"Slow. Boring. The usual."
He grinned. "No worries! It's interesting." *** "What's foie gras?"
His hand brushed her hair. "Mean."
She chuckled, kissing his cheek. "Fine. How was your day?"
He laughed. "You do tend to be quite blunt." *** "I know, right?"
"Shh," he murmured. "I like to pretend I never had another. It's better that way. As far as I'm concerned, you're the only one."
She chuckled brightly. "We see each other every day, for a majority of the day."
"You could be keeping it a secret?" *** "Sounds like top tier stuff to me."
"Yes," he agreed. "Even though you're the only one, you're definitely my favorite."
She sat up, cocking opening her arms to him expectantly. "Good."
"I dunno," he said. "Maybe your secretly nice." *** "Okay," she replied, "then I look forward to it!"
He pursed his lips. "Yes. But you're a mean one."
She brightened as he opened the door, and grinned. "Hi."
"Supposedly." *** She kissed his cheek. "I hope so!"
"You're not my friend anymore."
She turned her head to look at the door, sitting up slightly. "Come in."
"No. I don't tend to favor lamps." *** She nodded. "Right."
"That was rude," he replied flatly, glaring at her. "I thought you were hurt."
