He kissed the top of her head as he started the car, glancing back as he pulled out. *** She frowned. "Yes."
She moved closer to him, a stern look crossing her face. "No. I'm not doing that. I'm going to be near you."
He shook his head. "Sorry, not sorry."
He got in the driver's side, cocking his head. "Alrighty." *** She nodded. "We can."
"Don't say that," she said sadly. "We.. We can work this out."
"Oh, definitely."
"Yes. I drive." *** She laughed. "Grab and go?"
She blinked, taking a shaky breath as she stood. "I'm okay," she said reassuringly, taking his arms. "I'm okay. It's okay."
He cocked his head. "Now can be your new experience."
"Callie doesn't like cabs," he said thoughtfully. "Too many murderer documentaries. And we only had one car available." *** "Maybe.."
She moved back slightly, her expression a bit frightened. "Jack.."
He chuckled slightly. "Sad?"
He paused, beaming at her. "Want me to drive?" *** She nodded. "That could work.."
She fell back, gasping in surprise, her eyes wide.
He raised an eyebrow, his second nearly gone. "Yeah."
