He frowned. "Why am I always the one apologizing? *** She glared at him. "You don't like me."
He laughed. "Really? I'm glad you think so."
Her eyes showed she was searching for options, but she finally set down her weapon, and did as he asked, her head dropped.
He paused. "Can I save you?" *** "Not one thing! I have my rights!"
He chuckled, his arm around her waist. "Good. Me too."
She held her breath, but stayed still. "What do you want?"
"I'm not a murderer!" *** She sighed dramatically. "Not one thing! I can't do anything!"
He grinned, cocking her head. "Comfortable?"
She frowned, but let him back away. "I'm sorry."
"You said I was too cheerful!" he complained. "Ugh!" *** "Hmph. Can't do anything."
He grinned at her, his eyes warm. "Yeah, probably."
She glared, before trying a composed attack.
"That's not fair!" *** She laughed. "I'm teasing you."
He moved his head to give her a quick kiss. "Yes. That's what's happening."
