She grinned. "What do you want?"

He relaxed, taking her hand. "I love you too."
She raised an eyebrow. "Maybe."
"I would tell you," she said. "I trust you to help me through bad times."
He frowned, but nodded. "Fine."
"It's a shame we only got to kiss once," she teased.
She paused, tensing a bit before pulling away to observe his features, her eyes considerate. "No. No I don't."
"If it's to save your life, I'm going to," he argued weakly. "Please.. I can't fight you on this."
She turned away. "I understand. It's just too much!"
"I shouldn't have argued with you in the first place," she said. "You're just concerned."
He kissed the back of her hand. "I can't promise anything."

She moved into his lap, placing her arms around his neck. "I'm sorry."
He grabbed her hand, his voice soft. "It's okay."
She grinned. "We have to come to an ultimatum.'
