Landon hesitated, folding his hands. "It's about the timers."

He shrugged. "Just watching."

He occasionally glanced at her as he gathered weapons and materials, brushing back his hair.
Landon cleared his throat awkwardly. "Hello." *** She frowned slightly. "Ouch, Arlo."
She nodded. "But can we get it straight that even though could be better people, it doesn't mean you don't deserve the good?"
He nodded, moving to get ready. "Alright."
She gave him a quick kiss. "From the people I've seen, I know that you should deserve the best. There are a lot worse out there."
He placed his hand on her back. "We'll be okay."
She took his hand, her gaze drawn down. "You deserve to be treated good."
"Are you okay?"
She took his hand. "I understand. I'm sorry.'
He sighed. "We're here."
