"I dont want to start this conversation again, Phos," he said roughly. "We both understand that you disagree."
Avice kept up, her expression full of dread. "I see.."
Callie turned back to the kids, a cheerful look on her face. "Alrighty! We're just going to continue what we left off at.."
Francis squinted at him. "We'll see."
She turned to the medic, her expression concerned. "He says it doesn't hurt.. What does that mean?"
She chuckled. "I will."
"I do," Francis replied. "And when she wakes up on her own, I'll speak with her."
She paused. "Is that bad?"
She nodded playfully. "Okay. Have fun grading."
"From my understanding, you're both being ridiculous," he said sternly. "I would get her right now, but she's asleep."
"It's medium sized, right? And it's just us and our pets- for awhile."
She nodded. "Okay. Anyways, I'll start working with them again."
"She's probably not going to."
She took a shaky breath. "Just stay awake, okay? Let's talk more about the blue house."
"You're right," she said, sighing. "Sorry."
"I'm starting to think you don't want help."
"That while better be many, many years," she told him. "Got that?"
