He groaned dramatically, laying back. "No, you're not."
Her grip on his hand tightened as her voice cracked when she spoke. "I love you.."
He cocked his head. "If you say so."
He laughed. "Alright, alright. Fine. Leave me."
Avice watched him, her voice quiet and rough when she spoke. "Jack?'
He nodded. "I can do that. You need a ride home?"
"Good," he said. "That's what I care about."
She took his in both of hers, her grip strong but shaky as she wiped away another tear.
"Alright," he said brightly. "Anything else?"
He squinted at her. "After a long time, though."
Avice went to his side again, her gaze drawing towards the ground. She said nothing.
He nodded. "Want me to get some pictures?"
He kissed her cheek. "Could I haunt you?"
