Avice gave a sigh of relief, exhaling air she had subconsciously been holding. Giving a quick thanks to the sky, she hastily wiped away the tears.
"I'm sure," he said quietly. "Trust me."
"No, no," he amended. "Haunt me as long as you'd like."
Avice could barely watch, sitting off to the side with a worried gaze.
He shook his head. " No! I want to.. I think we should."
He gasped. "Me?! I did nothing to you!"

Her brows furrowed and her words came out in a flurry. "What dies it look like? He was stabbed! We need- I- Is he okay?!"
"Yes! Exactly!" He laughed, then paused, slowly fading. "That.. could be really dangerous."

Avice barely looked up, only raising her hand to wave them over quicker.
He grinned. "This is perfect! Everything we were looking for about the why!"
He sighed. "So stubborn."

"Ugh." He sighed. "Fine."
She felt her heart stop, and her voice caught in her throat. She put her hands on his shoulders, her fingers pressing. "Jack? Jack?!"
