He took a breath, returning the gaze. "I don't want to be in your nightmares."
She was hesitant, but went to him, relaxing immediately. "I love you."
"And writing articles? And- And fighting things!"
He was quiet for a moment, his expression blank. "Yeah?"
She sighed, pursing her lips. "I'll be fine. I'm okay."
"Oh yeah?' he asked. "What about the color black? And motorcycles?"
He held her, his hands gentle as they rubbed her back worriedly.
Charlotte smiled at him. "You too!" Avice pulled him to the room, her head cocked.
"You don't hate everything," he said brightly. "That's impossible!"
He hesitated, kissing the top of her her head before speaking softly in her ear. "I'm sorry. I love you."
Avice nodded. "Yeah. Let's go."
He crossed his arms. "Well, why not?"
