He seemed hesitant, but joined her. "I love you."
Avice looked up at him, her expression grateful. "I am.." Charlotte nodded. "As always."
"Okay, but we're not dating, so it's not wrong!"
He shook his head. " You can sleep anywhere."
The air was tense, but between the two of them, they looked relieved to have gotten it out of their system.
He pursed his lips. "Guess so!"

Avice shook her head, hating the tension that hung in the room. "Let's not talk about this."

"Don't worry about it," he said softly. "I think you need sleep."
Charlotte sighed. "I really have changed. That's why I came here. I.. I never thought I'd see you again. I didn't know if anything happened to you."
"You could be a cat," he said cheerfully. "They generally don't like people."
