He grinned. "I told you they were good."
"Babe, you're proof that most doctors do have bad handwriting."
He squinted. "Yes you are. You definitely are."
He shook his head. "Your eyes are dull and lifeless. They're brilliant! Like thunderstorm clouds! I love them!"
"Uh huh. I'm sure."
He grinned brightly. "You are pretty stubborn, though."
He smiled at her. "Your eyes are prettier than mine, Miss Abernathy."
She grinned. "I've seen your handwriting. It's pretty bad."
He chuckled. "Not the nicest, but not the worst."
He laughed. "My eyes are just plain brown, though."
She pursed her lips. "I liked math. What about you?"
He looked at her from the corner of his eye before looking straight again. "Does that mean you're a demon? I mean, we're basically opposites."
He gasped, feigning offense. "You only like me for my looks!"
