"Ah.." She sighed. "Not that far. We'll be there soon."
Landon stood still, unable to move. His panicked voice called out, stuttering. "V-Val!"
He tilted his head. "I wouldn't. It's not a good enough reason."
She glared at him, but was mostly frustrated with Charlotte. "Right."
Landon looked around nervously, his hands shaking slightly as he crept further into the room, careful to step over spilled acid.
"Family makes sense," he said. "Explaining Thanksgiving."
"Same for me," she agreed. "Too many thieves."
He cursed under her breath and rushed in, staying near the walls.
He sighed softly, relaxing under her arms. "If not you, then why else? There's no other reasons to take time off."
Charlotte hesitated. "No. I came here to get better a few years back. Dailough was.. a bit much."
Landon frowned, and nervously followed the footsteps, making sure to stay quiet.
He tilted his head. "I want to spend time with you."
Avice nodded. "Alright. Let's go." Charlotte grinned. "Perfect! I'll lead the way."
Landon parked and got out, looking around uncertainly. "Val?"
