She was quiet, a strange expression crossing her face. Fear maybe. "Can we go?"
He nodded quietly, brushing back his hair nervously as they went.
"I don't think I trust you anymore. Sorry."
She grinned. "I don't know.. Perhaps." After a moment, she paused. Her smile faded slightly and she cocked her head in confusion.
"Yeah.. I'll drop you off."
He frowned. "Then you would be awake."
She smiled softly, her eyes adoring. After a moment, she turned and looked along the street, her expression curious. "I like it here."
He nodded carefully. "Okay."
He sighed, wrapping his arms around her. "I'm still tired."
She seemed surprised by him, confused by the sudden action. "I like you too?"
He was quiet for a moment. "Are you sure?"
He kissed her forehead. "I love you."
She looked up, her head tilted slightly. "Yeah. I like it."
He gripped the steering wheel tightly. "I'm sorry, Val. I've been inconsiderate."
"You disrespected me," he joked. "What was I supposed to do?"
She stood as well. "Okay. Let's go.:
"It was your idea to do this."
He grinned, his hand brushing her cheek. "Love you."
She pursed her lips. "What do you suppose we do?"
