She sat on the floor and opened her book, leaning over it as she read quietly.

He smiled softly, kissing her forehead. "I love you too, Poppy Abernathy."
She squinted at him. "Let's research."
Landon hesitated. ".. Yeah?"
He took them to their room, laying her gently on the bed. He joined her, carefully wrapping his arms around her.
She nodded. "Fine."
He sped off, his expression blank. "What was it?"
He kissed the top of her head and took her back to the apartment.
She turned away nonchalantly. "I would."
He opened the door for her and got in on the drivers side, hastily turning on the car and checking around.
He got out, careful not to move her too much before going to her side and picking her up, hoping she would remain asleep.
She squinted at him. "I won't sleep in the same bed as you anymore."
He took her hand, pulling her towards the car. "Let s go."
He kissed the top of her head, but didn't wake her.
She stood up, holding the books. "Still want to argue?"
He took a breath, looking back at her. "What was that?!"
