"The turkey will take awhile, and I have to add touches every once in awhile. What can we do for half an hour?"
"Not from here.. Maybe we could check a sign?"
"Not right now," she said softly. "I just want to be prepared."
He shrugged quietly. "I'm not sure. How much time do we have?"
He nodded. "Let's go."
She nodded. "That sounds okay. I need to pick up paint, anyways."
He opened the oven and placed the turkey in. "What do you want to do in the meantime?"
"The people will try to talk," he recalled. "We need to be careful."
She crossed her arms thoughtfully. "Tonight? For how long?"
He nodded. "Sounds good. We're gonna have to put the turkey in the oven for a bit soon."
"Holding cells in the pediatrics ward," he replied quickly. "That's where."
She glanced at him, a minimal smile crossing her face. "Neat."
He grinned. "Even better!'
He set the cup on the beside table, before turning to leave.
She nodded thoughtfully. "I guess. Which one is it this time?"
He cocked his head. "If I can find a recipe, then yes."
He filled a plastic cup with water, and looked around to find the second bed.
"I just.. I haven't been feeling it." She frowned. "That's all."
He kissed her forehead before turning back to the turkey. "I should make pumpkin pie."
He frowned. "Um.. Sure."
