His hands held her carefully, before he pulled away. "Distracting."
"I get it," he replied. "Well, thanks."
She shook her head. "I'm not. Let's go talk."
He brushed back her hair softly. "I try."
He shrugged. "I've always been curious as to where they're located."
"Talk about what?" She asked curiously, her voice sounded with an edge.
"Of course," he said, kissing her cheek. "It's my primary concern."
"Oh yes. People like that deserve to be there.. Which holding cell, anyways?"
Her brows furrowed. "How come?"
He grinned softly. "I couldn't have that, then."
He nodded. "That's the one."
She shook her head slowly. "I don't know.. I'm not... I don't know."
He shook his head, doing the same. "Nah. I couldn't wait to kiss you."
Landon cocked his head, approaching another nurse. "Hm.. Remind me what happened with that dark-haired girl yesterday? With the green eyes?"
She leaned into his touch. "I'll be okay."
He grinned. "I know."
He nodded. "Yeah. I guess so."
"Work is work," she replied softly, "it's fine either way."
He turned and kissed her cheek. "I love you too."
