She left after that, giving him a small wave before she disappeared.
He paused to kiss her, squeezing her hand. "I missed you too."
She laughed brightly. "Am not!"
"And don't worry about it," she teased, shifting the bag. "I'll see you."
He kissed her cheek softly as they went. "It's nice to be back."
She stuck out her tongue at him. "Nuh uh. I'm just fine!"
"Of course," she said cheerfully. "I'll try to make them quick."
He kissed the top of her head. "Guess not. Let's get to bed."
She returned the gaze, her eyes bright. "I don't even know."
She smiled at the class, before cocking her head at Arlo. "I'll see you soon, then."
"That's a good question," he said. "It remains a mystery."
She rested her head on her hand, watching the drink in front of her with pursed lips, but didn't say anything.
She crossed her arms. "Okay. We'll see."
He smiled, glancing at her. "We sleep a lot."
She laughed, resting her head on his shoulder. "I love you."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "Uh huh."
He smiled, only pulling away to go wash off the plate. "Ready for sleep?"
She turned and kissed his cheek, her voice soft. "Thanks, babe."
She laughed slightly. "Let's just determine pricing later, okay?"
