She rubbed his back carefully, occasionally glancing at him in observation.
He kissed her. "Please don't."
He frowned. "Okay. Jeez." *** "Again."
She watched him carefully, before kissing his cheek softly. "I'm sorry."
He grinned. "That's better. No more sad Poppy."
He stepped back, his hands raised. "You could at least warn me next time." *** "I'm not!"
She took his hand, her eyebrows furrowed. "I know, baby."
He made sure nothing would burn before wrapping his arms around her, kissing the side of her neck. "I love you."
