She sighed, and it may have sounded a little disappointed. "I'm okay."
He laughed, kissing her forehead. "I guess."
He picked up and up, still a bit hesitant.
Avice came up behind him and put her hands on his shoulders. "..Hi."
"He's a fish," he said, kissing her cheek.

He hesitated. "I don't think it likes me."
She glanced back at him, only pausing to take his arm, hoping to be as reassuring as she could.
"You laughed at him."
He sat down as well, folding his hands thoughtfully.
She frowned and pulled him towards the ship, her touch gentle but firm.
He set him down carefully. "You're just saying that."
He cocked his head. "Okay."
"We need to go, Jack," she said, grasping his arm. "Please, let's just go. She'll be okay."
