Francis shut the bathroom door and turned the faucet, getting ready.
"Love you," she said quietly, her head cocked slightly as she turned back to the group.
"You still look cute," he said nonchalantly, going to the bathroom to shower.
"That's okay," she reassured. "I understand."
He looked over at her, kissing her cheek. "You look cute."
She sighed, looking down. "I know. Soon enough."

"I'm okay," she said. "I just don't really like it here."
He cocked his head. "Okay, fine. Love you too."
She nodded thoughtfully. "Of course. I'm always here for you."
He paused. "In the best case, not like alcohol.'
"You're doing just fine," she told him, rubbing his back soothingly. "I don't know if a lot can be done at this point."
"It's kinda a bad thing."
She placed a hand on his shoulder reassuringly. "At least your here for her."
He squinted at her. "Thanks."
