"Love you," he said, then hung up.
"I would cry," she said firmly.
He nodded. "Mmkay."
"I wouldn't!"
"Thanks," he said. "I'm near that one cafe," he said. "With the aquarium."
She grinned. "I'm glad."
"Mm," he murmured. "Thanks love."
She pursed her lips. "I wouldn't blame you for breaking up with me."
"Hmm?" he murmured. "Oh, yeah. Totally fine. Just fine, but there was, like, a party and I may have had fewww drinks."
"They tried to steal a lot. I have reasons."
When he spoke, his voice was slurred. "Heyyyy, Poppy. There's been a slight change of plans."
"Someone stole from me," she said. "I burnt some of their stuff."
Her phone would ring moments later. It was Francis.
"Pshh," she mumbled. "It was a long time ago at some place."
"It was teeny tiny. Not even a big deal!"
He grabbed his keys and left, shutting the door behind him.
She rolled her eyes. "It was nothing big!"
