Callie nodded in agreement, but Landon still seemed intent. "Maybe a little," he said, "but we'll just have to be careful."
"I had a feeling you would," he explained, "but now that it's actually happening, I think it's nice."
She frowned. "I know what I did, and I don't regret it."
"'Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...'" Landon replied with a small smile. "We must be the first to try and figure this out."
"No," he said. "But you worked hard.'
She squinted at him. "I won't."
She bit her lip, her eyes thoughtful. " But is it worth the danger?"
"Thank you for putting so much thought into this," he told her gratefully.
She nodded. "Sure, if that's okay with you."
"This seems like it could dangerous though," Callie commented. "Especially if it is big."
He chuckled, catching her hand. "It's perfect. Thank you."
She smiled, her hand on his jaw. "Are you tired?"
"Right," he said with a grin. "And I could try and find evidence!"
He looked back at her, a grin on his face. "Coffee maker?"
"Of course I would have you," she said. "I love you."
"I see," he said thoughtfully. "That could work."
"I'm sure I'll love them," he reassured, opening the gift.
She kissed him softly. "I like you as well."
Landon pursed his lips. "Who do you have in mind?"
