"You would?" she asked quietly. "Are you sure that would be a good decision?"
He went and sat at the table, crossing his legs curiously.
She continued brushing through his hair. "I don't doubt that."
"It is," he agreed. "What's the next step?"
"Alright," he said, kissing her cheek. "Thank you."
She was quiet. "Those are clever words."
He nodded, trying to think of how to do it. "Uhm.. Okay."
He tilted his head. "I'll eat first."
She paused for a moment. "What do you mean?"
He hesitated, his eyebrows furrowing. "I could try."
"Oh, don't worry," he said. "I like celebrating Christmas."
"Okay," she said softly, soothingly running her fingers through his hair.
"I suppose," he said. "But there's no proof."
He kissed her cheek with a grin. "Belated," he said, before looking around. "You really put a lot of work into this, huh?"
She smiled brightly. "I'm glad."
Callie nodded in agreement. "We're talking about the people who run this country."
He got up, tilting his head slightly as he poked it out through the doorway. "Poppy?"
She nodded. "I do."
He paused, looking through the photos. "It's possible.."
