"Of course," he said, slowing to a stop before looking at her. "Any time."
She leaned into his touch, her eyebrows still furrowed with worry. "I love you."
She went the other way, her hands thoughtfully behind her back.
He sighed. "I like any candy." He grinned. "And preferably pancakes that don't have raisins in it."
She nodded. "Thank you."
"I suppose so," she agreed. "Well. I'll see you around."
"A walk through the city during the late evening," he said. "Maybe try something new and enjoy the sights."
She nodded. "Yes."
She laughed. "Wow, really? What a coincidence. I had no clue either!"
He paused. "What's your idea? That way I can get an example."
She looked up at him, her eyes unsure. "I will," she said quietly. "When you're done talking to Natalia.. could you come back for a little bit?"
"I agree," she said with a nod. "It was nice talking to you."
He squinted at her, but continued. "Food? Cheesecake."
She sniffled, not meeting his eyes. "I'm sorry I did those things."
"Sure," she said delightfully. "We're friends now!"
"Alright," he said, starting the car. "Go for it."
She watched him intensly. "I thought you were mad at me," she said. "I don't know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
She looked at him. "Are we not?"
