"1% survival instincts, 1% danger?"
He kissed her cheek. "I'll be back soon, okay?"
She shifted slightly, but didn't react as much as the previous time.
"Curiosity?" he asked. "That could be it."
"It's fine," he reassured. "I'd like to."
She nodded, luckily more prepared than last time. "Yeah."
"That was your science part,' he explained simply.
He paused, tilting his head. "I could run by my apartment and get everything done, then come back, if that works with you?"
She frowned, pulling away before laying back. "Alright. Thank you."
"98% sounds better for you. There's gotta be survival instincts."
He rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't know," he said. "I might not be able to."
She sighed. "Okay. I don't really have a choice whether to do it or not."
He nodded, resting his head on his hand. "Although, it was your idea."
He smiled, but was quiet after that, his eyes thoughtful as they watches the road.
She pulled away, only to lean forward rest her head on his shoulder, her arms holding loosely around his waist.
"That seems likely," he agreed. "Looks like we've got this down."
He turned for a moment to kiss the top of her head, before watching the road. "I love you."
She kissed him softly, her hand gently brushing his jaw.
"Do you think they're likely to copy you the younger they are?"
He smiled. "And you can beat him up."
