"How long will you be gone?" he asked, rubbing his eyes.
She paused. "... But.. you're so deserving of someone better?"
Callie took his hand as they left, neither glancing back.
"That's good," he said tiredly. "I'm glad."
"Funny?" she asked. "Why's that?"
Landon stood, giving them both a nod. Callie looked up, tilting her head slightly. "It was nice meeting you both," he said. "See you soon, Valerie."
"Good," he replied softly. "You?"
She smiled slightly, turning her head and kissing his collarbone. "I feel the same way."
He tapped his chin. "Sure," he said. "I'll be there."
"Good morning," he murmured softly, his voice rough from sleep.
"That's a good way of thinking," she said quietly, obviously calming down. "Are you happy?"
He tilted his head thoughtfully as he took the phone and put his number in it before handing it back. "I can't think of anything else."
He sleepily kissed the side of her neck before resting his head again, shutting his eyes.
She rested her head against him again, evidently in thought. "Is that how it works?"
"Works for me," he said agreeably, looking down at his camera to mess with it. "Is this meeting thing over?"
