"Sure," he replied, passing her the bag. "Thank you."
"It's nothing," she replied sternly. "I don't like talking about it."
He kissed the top of her head. "A little bit. Luckily I brought pajamas."
She sighed, and her eyes didn't meet his. "Yeah.. sorry."
"Maybe," he said, a small grin on his face.
He smiled. "I missed you too," he said, readjusting a small bag hanging from his shoulder. "I hope I didn't take too long."
She looked away, obviously a bit uncomfortable. "Just regretful things."
He shrugged. "I suppose you could say that."
Francis opened the door, checking his watch as he did so. He looked at Poppy with a small smile. "Hey.. I hope you don't mind that I didn't knock."
She frowned. " Just other inconveniences."
He pursed his lips. "Just soccer thing."

"That too," she said, her tone joking.
"I am," he said. "Not tomorrow, though."
He returned a wave before pulling away, disappearing down the street.
She put her hands on her head. "Sometimes I wish I could time travel."
He clicked his pen. "Should we experiment today during lunch?"
"I love you too," he responded cheerfully. "See you soon."
"Yeah," she reassured quietly, her voice sounding strained. "I'm fine."
