Francis took a bite of his before squinting. "Who the hell puts raisins in a pancake?"
"I like you back," he said. "I promise."
She chuckled, resting her head against him. "I know. I will."
He sighed, his fingers tense. Eliza glanced at them warmly before turning to the others. "There's different kinds," she said. "Take your pick."
"I'm teasing," he said. "Though, you are a likeable person."
"I will," she said, her hand resting below his collar bone. "Doctor's orders."
He relaxed momentarily, glancing up at her.
"You, obviously," he said, his tone teasing.
She nodded, taking a breath. "Yeah."
"Great," he said, leaning back. The other still seemed tense, but said nothing.
