He sighed, but couldn't suppress a smile. "I'm going to pick you up and take you to your room, okay?"
"I'll play for you eventually," he promised. "You have to play for me."
She kissed his nose. " You shouldn't be to me."
"Are you okay?" he asked, going to kneel next to her.
"Really?" he asked curiously. "Huh."
"That's mysterious."
She slowed down. "... Poppy?"
"A bunch of things," he said. "Mostly piano and saxophone."
"And how exactly are you going to trick me?"
He frowned, slightly concerned as he pushed it open. "Hello?"
He smiled slightly. "That's true."
"That's what I thought," she teased. "You've just been exposed."
He squinted. "Whatever."
He raised an eyebrow. "Teach you to play piano?"
"You could," she began, "but would you?"
"I am not grumpy," he replied firmly. "You can stay where you are."
He nodded, turning back to the keys. "Good. Thank you."
