She observed his moments, moving her piece right after him.
He smiled, raising an eyebrow. "And might I add that you look lovely today?"
"Only if we stay up here all day," he replied softly, brushing back her hair.
She sat back, watching it thoughtfully for a moment before making her first move.
"It's not dumb," he said. "It makes sense to me."
He nodded, sighing as she kissed him. "Yeah," he murmured. "That's good."
"Yes," she said firmly. "I won't lose as quick this time."
He exhaled. "That's good. I like to hear that."
He grinned. "By me, of course."
He gently brushed her side. "Good. That means we can just stay here a bit longer."
"Fine," she said. "Let's try this again."
"But I have to," he said, frowning. "It's required."
He smiled. "I don't care."
"That's the trick," she said. "I'll go in for the kill, but then start bleeding before I can attack, that way you feel even worse."
"That's okay," he said. "Whenever I compliment you, I'll understand."
He put his arms around her waist, smiling against her lips.
She squinted at him. "I will. And then I'll start bleeding again and you'll feel bad."
"You still aren't good at accepting compliments, huh?"
He reached up to kiss her neck. "I love you."
She pursed her lips. "I think I will kill you."
