"I know you were joking," he said. "I wasn't."
"Yeah," he said. "I am."
She frowned, knowing well this would likely not end well for her, but nonetheless she continued, moving her next piece.
"I am lucky," he agreed. "Very lucky."
He kissed her softly. "Thank you."
She curiously moved the first piece, giving thoughts into the actions and consequences.
"You're welcome," he said brightly, grinning at her.
"I still want you to get the medication," he asked softly. "Please?"
"I'll be white," she said. "They start first, right?"
"Don't worry," he said. "I'll still like you."
He watched her, his expression concerned. "Can you get more?"
She nodded, biting her lip in thought. "Yeah."
He sighed, kissing her forehead gently. "What about the medication?"
"But you're better then I am currently," she said. "So it still will be an accomplishment."
"You can be," he agreed.
He kissed her cheek. "Was it only alright?"
"Give it some practice and I'll be able to beat you," she said, grinning at him.
"Because I didn't know what to do with the thoughts," he replied. "It was confusing."
"Just fine," he said, smiling at her. "What about you?"
"And you're supposed to capture the opponents pieces, right? Until you have the king?"
