"Yes you would," he said, tilting his head was he squinted at her.
She frowned. "Do I have to?"
"Hmm," he murmured, observing the water. It rushed to the left, and he began to walk downstream. "This way."
"Are you doubting me?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
She reached to brush a hand over his cheek. "It's okay now."
"Please don't."
"Well, I knew what it was at the time," he said, crossing his arms. "I just forgot now."
She watched him carefully. "It's okay. It's better that you didn't."
"Not unless you want to come with," he warned.
"I applied a long time ago," he said, propping himself up. "I couldn't recall."
She frowned, sticking out her tongue. "I didn't do anything to deserve it. I don't understand."
"I can't recall the name right now."
"I'm sorry for worrying you," she responded quietly. "It must have been difficult."
He walked a bit faster, only stopping as a large brook broke the path. The water was clear, and rushing over rocks smoothly. "Here it is."
"I don't know right now," he admitted. "I applied for this internship, but they haven't gotten back yet."
She rested her hands on the side of his neck before shifting uncomfortably. "Why does being stabbed hurt So much?"
He leaned down to give her a quick kiss, only pausing as her perked up, hearing something. "Water."
"It is," he agreed, picking up his pen and tapping it. "I wanted to study it for awhile."
"That," she said, "and I just want to kiss you."
"It is," he said. "Trust me."
