She grinned, reaching up kiss his cheek, one hand gently resting on the back of his head, her fingers brushing through his hair. "I love you."
"Hm. Fine."
"Don't worry," he told her. "You'll find someone."
She looked up at him, her eyes adoring. "You love me that much?"
"I know," he said. "I just don't see a point, though."
"I think relationships can be nice."
"I love you a lot!" she told him. "I'd be disappointed in myself if I did something you couldn't forgive."
"You don't need to apologize," he said. "It's not your fault."
He patted her shoulder good-naturedly. "Don't worry, though. There's always better people out there."
She sighed, kissing his neck as she put her arms around his waist. " We could always forgive each other."
"Our dad is judgemental and disapproving about most things. It wasn't fair."
"I guess people aren't always what they appear to be at first. They tell you they love you, but sometimes they don't mean it."
She raised an eyebrow, before responding equally dramatically. "I knew you didn't love me!"
"Sometimes," he said. "It's kinda the same."
"No," he said. "It was Evan's fault."
