Francis stood, but didn't follow or speak. Instead, he sighed, and grabbed his own things to leave.
She smiled at him, though it did not seem complete. "I'll have to trust you on this one, I suppose."
He fell asleep quickly. All the work and driving had tired him, and he drifted off in no time.

She hesitated, trying to think of her words. "This whole attacker thing makes me nervous... I just want us to be safe."
He shut his eyes, glad to be able to relax for the day.
He sighed, but only went back to his notes.
"Safety," she said quietly. "I probably wasn't supposed to tell you."
"Lets," he agreed, putting his arm around her. "I love you."
"I just want to talk," he replied, his voice calm. "That's it."
She looked up, the stars reflecting in her eyes. "I really like them."
"Yeah," he admitted, sliding next to her. "A bit."
He frowned, but shook his head. "Talk to me after class."
"It's nicer with you here," she said smoothly. "I want to see shooting stars."
He entered, stretching his arms. "Are you tired?"
"Poppy," he said, his voice softening. "Is everything okay?"
"I'm okay," she said softly. "I think I'll be able to stay up."
He knocked on the door. "Are you decent?"
