"I know," he said, pulling out some pajamas. "You don't have to stop."
She ducked her head, hiding a grin. "You're too good to me."
"Alright," he said, standing up. "Thanks."
"That's not nice." He frowned, crossing his arms. "I found it enjoyable."
She flushed, but smiled slightly. "Thank you, Jack. I really appreciate it."
He looked up, finishing his last one. "Yeah."
"I'm not either," he admitted. "Do you want to sleep?"
She watched him for a moment, before kissing him softly.
He worked quietly, not saying much else after that.
"I'm not sure. They most likely already had dinner, but I bet there's some left over?"
She smiled at him, her eyes affectionate. "I love you."
"I'm sure," he said, moving on to another piece.
"I disagree," he said, "but whatever."
"I can do that," she said.
"Because he's annoying and rude and doesn't know how to treat people right."
"You're not a wimp," he said, reaching to give her a kiss.
"It would," she agreed, "but you're the only one I'm willing to talk like that to."
"But I did." He continued painting, not looking up.
"Yeah," he said, "But it's not that bad, right?"
She laughed, looking up at him. "Yes."
