"It'll be nice," he said. "I promise."
He sat on the other, resting his head on his hand as he looked out the window for a moment.
After a moment of observing him adoringly, she pulled back, turning to watch the ocean. "It's really nice, isn't it?"
He leaned over and kissed her cheek. "It will all be okay," he said softly. "I promise."
He nodded. "Lead the way."
She kissed his nose. "Even then."
He watched her for a moment. "Quite enough of that."
"Yeah," he agreed. "Where to?"
She smiled brightly, running her fingers through his hair. "I love you, though."
"Mine always have. Always will. I think it's in their blood."
"Alright," he said. "It's better out there."
"You won't forgive me?" she asked, looking at him with wide eyes and a sad frown, though the sorrow was feigned.
He grinned at her, stretching his arms. "Not sure. Nice houses, maybe?"
"Alright," he nodded. "That works."
"I heard you," he told him. "That just normally means you will forgive me."
He nodded sleepily. "Yeah, this is it. The driveway is kind of long."
"I suppose we could paint them here," he said. "Two people are faster."
"Thank you." She grinned. "I appreciate it."
"Okay," he said, "I'll just have to kiss you less for now."
