"Good," he replied smartly. "I didn't ask for no reason."
"I didn't take you for a rule breaker," he murmured.
"Anything?" she asked. "Like, anything anything?"
He glanced at her from the corner of his eye. "Marry me, obviously."
He followed her, her expression thoughtful.
"Love you too."
"Okay," he said. "Where do we start?"
"You're only saying that because it's true," he said, his tone smooth. "Isn't that right?"
"Thank you," she said, her hand brushing his jaw.
"Probably." He turned his head. "Should we look around?"
"That's a lie," he said. "You are."
"I'm sorry," she said softly, a smile still on he lips. "Forgive me?"
"I suppose we can do that." He crossed his arms. "Do you have paint?"
"Hmph. I could say you're stubborn, too."
She grinned, then kissed him lightly. "Don't worry. I'm only teasing you."
"Like, bone color?"
"Second priority," he said. "Obviously."
"I'm going to exploit your weakness to get what I want," she joked. "Take that."
"Thank you," she said, tapping his nose. "I appreciate the sacrifice."
